The Great South Arkansas Junk Hunt
Where: Nearly 100 miles along Highway 35, Monticello – Benton, Arkansas
When: March 7 – 10, 2024; October 10 – 13, 2024
Perfect for the garage salers who are coming off a winter break, this early highway sale will be the perfect fix! While there are not lists of participating sale addresses, the Facebook group is active and makes timely announcements. Just make sure to pack a jacket since it’s so early in the year.
Bargains Galore on 64
Where: 160 miles along Highway 64 from Fort Smith – Beebe, Arkansas
When: Second weekend in August, starting on Thursday (August 8 – 10, 2024)
This highway sale has 25 years under its belt and is going strong. Check out 160 whoppin’ miles of garage sales, antique stores, flea markets and, oh yes, delicious down home food along the way.
Junkin’ Heaven on Highway 7
Where: Highway 7 from Dover – Ola, Arkansas
When: First weekend in May (May 3 – 4, 2024)
Arkansas knows how to come up with fun names for their highway garage sales. This relatively new highway sale will be fun to pop by if you’re in the area. Stop by the flea market areas for large numbers of vendors or drive along the highway and stop when you see a sign.
Sell It Again on Highway 10
Where: 100 miles along Highway 10 from Perry – Hackett, Arkansas
When: April 12 – 13, 2024
Arkansas truly loves its highway yard sales! If you live anywhere in the state (or close to the state) you’re in for at least one stretch of road with bargains galore. They hold their sale early in the year and early in the week, so don’t miss it! The advertised start day is on a Wednesday though sales might be sparse the first day.
Big To Do on Highway 22
Where: 70 miles along Highway 22 Barling – Paris, Arkansas
When: April 17 – 20, 2024
Running the following weekend after Sell It Again on Highway 10, these two highway sales surely draw a crowd. Though it is advertised to start on Wednesday, things might be slow the first day. Traveling from other states, pickers come out for this annual sale!
California
14 Mile Garage Sale
Where: Biggs, Gridley and Live Oak, California
When: First Saturday weekend of April and October (April 6, 2024 and October 5, 2024)
While definitely one of the smallest highway yard sales, you should definitely check out the 14 mile garage sale if you’re in California. Sometimes the smaller the area, the less overwhelming it is and the more deeply you can search for hidden treasures. They have two main sites set up for vendors, but all towns along the way (and individuals along the route) set up for this annual tradition. In addition to garage sale treasures, you will enjoy food vendors, live music and a carnival atmosphere.
Highway 36 Treasure Hunt
Where: Highway 36, Troy – St Francis, Kansas
When: Third weekend in September (September 19 – 21, 2024)
Drive along Kansas scenery in search for unique treasures. Smack dab in the middle of the United States, Kansas is known to be a picker’s treasure trove because of the low prices. The organization’s website and Facebook page will guide you to the sales as well as show you the best places to stop for food and lodging.
100 Mile Highway 54 Yard Sale
Where: Along Highway 54 from Fort Scott, Kansas – Camdenton, Missouri
When: June 7 – 8, 2024 and August 30 – September 1, 2024
If you’re in the area, you might stop by the 100 mile highway yard sale along Highway 54. Long enough to give you lots of choices but short enough not to overwhelm you, these 100 miles could probably be done in one day.
Kentucky

Where: 400 miles along Highway 68 from Paducah – Maysville, Kentucky
When: First weekend in June (June 6 – 9, 2024)

No, you’re not seeing double, this is the same route as the US 25 Yard Sale in June. But I guess a new month needed a new sale name. This sale, held in October will be another fun adventure through 200 miles of Kentucky’s beautiful countryside in search of down home treasures.

You will not only be searching for great treasures but also enjoying the scenery, history and friendly atmosphere.

Where: 100 mile loop around Lake Pepin from Hastings, Minnesota – Prescott, Wisconsin
When: May 2 – 5, 2024

Apparently Missouri loves its highway sales as they have about as many sales as they do highways! That’s my kind of state. While they don’t go as far as having interactive maps or guides, definitely enjoy driving while you check out the local sales in beautiful Missouri.
Montana

I love it when highway yard sale websites have countdown clocks. Bitterroot 50 mile garage sale organizers certainly take their even seriously. With an interactive map, lists and food recommendations along the way, garage saling under the big western sky will be a treat.
Nebraska
Nebraska’s Junk Jaunt

New Mexico
Jemez Mountain Trail Sale

There are not many highway garage sales out west, so definitely jump on this one in New Mexico! Make a vacation out of your time by exploring the local history, cuisine and beautiful scenery.
New York

Honestly, getting information on it was difficult, but I did confirm from several different city website calendars that the Highway 52 Yard Sale is still going strong. This is a good length sale that has good support from the towns (even though details are a bit lacking), so make sure to check it out!
“World’s Longest Garage Sale” (aka 127 Corridor Sale)
Where: 690 miles from Addison, Michigan through Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and ending in Gadsden, Alabama
When: First Thursday in August (August 1 – 4 , 2024)
Whether it’s the world’s longest garage sale as it claims or not, we’re not going to quibble when it comes to nearly 700 miles of garage saling glory. It is debatable whether you could trek that far in one weekend, but I’ll support anyone who wants to try! Historic US 80 Hi-Way Sale

Held two times a year in the blessed cool of spring and fall, this highway sale is so like Texas…BIG. Said to be one of the longest garage sales in the United States, it stretches 392 miles from Mesquite, Texas, through Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi. If you have time with all your bargain hunting, make sure to grab some good ol’ BBQ or southern cooking as well as check out the history of Highway 80.
Highway 82/287 Yard Sale
Where: 400 Miles in North Texas and South Oklahoma along Highways 82 and 287
When: First Friday and Saturday in June and after Labor Day (June 7 – 8, 2024 and September 6 – 7, 2024)
Hop in the car for a grand adventure that will keep you running from sale to sale. Texas and Oklahoma team up for this highway sale to offer a full 400 miles of treasures. While I don’t know if you’ll be able to make it all the way in that Texas heat, I’m all for trying!

Washington
World’s Longest Garage Sale
Where: 28 miles in Long Beach Peninsula, Washington (Ilwaco – Oysterville, Washington)
When: Thursday – Sunday, Memorial Day weekend (May 25 – 26, 2024)
This is a 25 year local tradition that is not officially organized. You might or might not find maps or up-to-date information. But head out to Long Beach, Washington to find some good treasures over the holiday weekend. While it’s not actually the world’s longest garage sale as the name implies, you will still have fun treasure hunting across the peninsula.
Wisconsin
100 Mile Garage Sale (Great River Road)
Where: 100 mile loop around Lake Pepin from Hastings, Minnesota – Prescott, Wisconsin
When: May 2 – 5, 2024
If you live up north, be sure to visit the 100 mile garage sale in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The 400-Mile Sale (U.S. 68) in Kentucky runs from Paducah to Maysville, not Paducah to Nicholasville. I live in Kentucky and have driven this sale many times. Going just to Nicholasville would end the sale at about 300 miles, and one would miss the entire northeastern section of the event.

Thank you so much for alerting me to this sale! I did some digging and found out that the Tennessee Highway 52 yard sale is indeed on for 2024. There have been no updates to the Facebook page, but several cities gave the dates as May 17 – 19, 2024. I have updated with the information in the blog post under Tennessee. Happy hunting!
